A Few of My Favorite Things

In my kooky, chaotic world there are a few favorite things that I really love and depend on to make my life easier. Here's a list:

My Bob Revolution double jogging stroller-This is right up there at the top of my list. It has been a lifesaver for me as a mom of twins and I HIGHLY recommend this to all moms even if you don't jog (I don't. I just walk) It is easy to turn and fits through all doors! A bit cumbersome to get in the trunk but well worth the trouble and worth the price tag! I did not get paid for this nor did I get a free stroller to review (darn it!).

Toddler Apps for the Iphone- I want to kiss the genius who thought this up! I have Toddler Teasers and Hatch on my phone. They are free and I have made great use of this in the grocery line, at the doctors office etc. Brilliant! Wish I'd thought of it!

My Scout bags!!! These are the BEST bags ever! I sell them on my site because I love them so much! I use the cooler bags all the time! I take them with me in the car to keep the sippy cups cool when we are picking up the bigger kids from school, to the zoo or the park for a picnic, and to the beach. I use this Original Deano for hauling everything around. They make great gifts and every person I have given them to loves them!

Most recently a portable DVD player- I mentioned, in an earlier post, that I wasn't above letting the twins watch some movies to make it through our trip to Orlando and guess what? I let them! Now every time we get in the car they want to watch movies! I have really started something here! I figure if they don't watch much at home then they can watch in the car occasionally. Especially since we have to sit in a car line at school forever! You know how that is!

My new favorite Blog site- myfavoriteeverything.com. Check it out! I don't live in the OC but I love this site! My favorite is the weekly meal plan and shopping list to go with it. I really have been using this and it has helped me be a bit more organized with my meal preparation!

Cupcake- the wine (my new fav)and the little cakes(who doesn't like those?) I love this wine! It's not expensive (under $10) and it's yummy! A happy hour must in my house. I did not get paid for this but I would gladly accept some samples to review!!!

Goldfish- The crackers! Also a happy hour must! Toddlers need happy hour too...a sippy cup of milk and a handful of Goldfish and everyone's happy!

Weekend Trip

I am packing up to drive to Orlando for the weekend to visit my brother-in-law and sister-in-law. Orlando is about 31/2 hours from my house if you don't count stops and with not much traffic. Since I am taking 5 of my children (Ages 11,10,9 & 2 year old twins)with me, I am anticipating more than a few stops. Food, potty breaks, dirty diapers, spills, temper tantrums, backseat arguments all seem to require a stop! It may take 6 hours to get there! I have been traveling with children for years and until the twins it has been easy and relatively fun. Not so much anymore! Casey and Brady (the twins) are not good little travelers. They hate the car! So, I am racking my brain to come up with some good travel activities for 2 year olds! I will let you know what I come up with in a later blog. But let's just be honest here, I'm not above 31/2 hours of movies on the portable DVD player if that's what it takes!

On another note, while in Orlando, I will be getting together with fellow mom and entrepreneur Stacy McCallum of Pixie Dust Decor. Hi Friends!

The absolute explosion of the popularity of blogging just baffles me! Twitter baffles me! Yet, I am hooked! I love reading blogs and tweets and sharing information with people all over the country and even the world! I even love the little nothings people share about how their toddler just discovered lipstick and mascara and tweeted a picture of her completely made up (by herself). It makes me feel connected in a weird way. I'm thrilled to be blogging for the first time. Check in often, I'll try to come up with some fun things to talk about!
